The King's Cup Final is the biggest night in Saudi club football. On 30 May 2025 it filled King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah with 62,000 fans for Al-Ittihad against Al-Qadsiah, and 555 Live Experience asked us to make the sky above the pitch part of the show.
The brief
A sold-out bowl, a live TV audience and a running order that moved from the pre-match build-up to the half-time show and the trophy lift. The lasers had to read big from the top tier and on camera, and land exactly with the music, the lighting and everything else happening on the field.
What we built
A mega setup of our own LS-NYX lasers, 40 W and 65 W units, rigged around the stadium so the beams could fan over the stands, cross the pitch and close in on the giant trophy at the centre. Our team programmed the whole show in Pangolin Beyond and ran it to timecode, so every laser cue fired on the same clock as the rest of the production.
Working inside the 555 Live Experience team, alongside SLS Production on lighting, meant one show, one count and no surprises on the night.
The result
Al-Ittihad won 3-1, with Karim Benzema scoring twice, and the stadium lifted the trophy under a canopy of light. For us it was a night where everything we build and test in our own warehouse did exactly what it was made to do, in front of 62,000 people.
