DAMAC Properties brought its top partner agencies together at Skydive Dubai to celebrate the year, with Kris Fade on the mic and the Dubai Marina skyline behind the stage. Our client SM Pro Events asked us to make every winner's moment feel huge, two nights in a row.
The brief
An open-air awards night on the lawn, a long curved stage and hundreds of guests at their tables. The effects had to lift each award, carry the music between them and hold their own against the city lights and the Oracle Red Bull Racing drone show in the sky.
What we built
We lined the stage with sparkular cold-spark machines, so every name called came with a curtain of sparks as the winners walked up. Our lasers fanned out over the guests and towards the skyline, building with the music and opening up under the drones. Confetti shots marked the big moments and sent the night off with a burst of colour.
We ran it on both evenings, from show control beside the stage, cue by cue with the running order.
The result
Two nights that felt like a final every time a winner stepped up. Lasers over the Marina, sparks on every name, and a crowd that stayed on its feet until the last shot of confetti.
